Dr. Kumar went to Haiti in March 2010 and his help was not only life-saving in Haiti but his caring and compassion for other was felt in Bakersfield from his mission of mercy for making a difference in the lives of others. Our local community embraced his efforts of making a difference thousand of miles away and leaving his practice for a week. His patients told him stories of what his random act of kindness meant to them and some cried upon his return after seeing the media coverage and the images of destruction. Dr. Kumar will never forget Sebastian a darling boy who was adopted after the tragedy in Haiti.
